Children and Youth with Special Healthcare Needs

Does your child need extra help and services due to a health, behavioral, or an emotional condition? The Children & Youth with Special Health Care Needs Program (CYSHCN) is a statewide, no-cost public health program that provides information and referrals for children/youth (birth-21 years) and their families to help improve systems of care.

What does the CYSHCN Program do?

We help coordinate case management, equipment, respite care, service planning birth to adult, and more. We can also provide information about programs and resources available for your child.

Do you have private insurance?
Do you need financial assistance to cover medical expenses?

The Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs Support Services (CYSHCNSS) Program assists Dutchess County families with paying medical services for children with severe chronic illnesses or physical disabilities. Assistance is available for individuals with low income and few resources.
