The Dutchess County Community Services Board (formerly the Mental Hygiene Board) is an advisory body to the County's Department of Mental Health. The Board and its subcommittees provide community input and guidance on local services for mental health, substance use, and developmental disabilities.
Members include professionals, advocates, and individuals with lived experience who are dedicated to improving behavioral health and well-being in Dutchess County.

The Adult Mental Health subcommittee focuses on the needs of adults living with mental health challenges. Members review programs, identify gaps in care, and make recommendations to improve access, quality, and coordination of services across Dutchess County.
This committee meets the 1st Thursday of each month, 12:30- 1:30 p.m., via Teams.
The Addiction & Recovery subcommittee addresses prevention, treatment, and recovery supports for individuals and families affected by substance use. Members work with community partners to promote recovery, reduce stigma, and strengthen local systems of care.
This committee meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month, 1- 2 p.m., via Teams.
The Children & Youth subcommittee looks at mental health and related supports for children, adolescents, and families. Members emphasize prevention, early intervention, and collaboration between schools, agencies, and families to help young people thrive.
This committee meets the 2nd Thursday of each month, 12- 1 p.m., via Teams.
The Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) subcommittee focuses on programs and policies supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Members advocate for inclusion, accessibility, and opportunities that promote independence and quality of life for people with IDD and their families.
This committee meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 12- 1 p.m., hybrid, either via Teams or at 230 North Rd.
The Rural Mental Health subcommittee addresses the unique challenges facing residents of rural Dutchess County, such as transportation barriers, workforce shortages, and access to services. Members work to promote equity in behavioral health care and community supports across all regions of the county.
