Dutchess County Parks Summer naturalist programs strive to reconnect youth and adults to nature. The activities that take place during weekly camps are structured to be hands-on and allow for creative exploration. Whether students are hiking, learning survival basics, playing games or telling stories, participants will be outside experiencing the world around them. The weekly programs stress the importance of working together to complete daily tasks. By leading, listening, and compromising, youth will build on interpersonal skills such as peer leadership, time management, personal responsibility, conflict resolution, and social competence all while having a great time exploring the outdoors. Come out and join us in the park this summer!
Registration for our 2024 Summer Programs will open on Tuesday, March 12th at 9:00am. Please contact the park naturalists at 845-298-4602 or by email at parknaturalist@dutchessny.gov. if you are interested in school or scout programs or public offerings.
