Sheriff Kirk Imperati, in conjunction with the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources, is pleased to announce that a new written exam for the position of Deputy Sheriff has been scheduled.
The written exam will be offered on Saturday September 20, 2025 and the application deadline is August 15, 2025. Applicants should also be aware that, starting with this exam, the maximum age to take the exam has been raised significantly from prior years.
All qualified candidates are strongly encouraged to take the written exam for Deputy Sheriff for a chance to become part of the team at the Sheriff’s Office.
