The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force reports the arrest of Marc Greenland, age 36, related to alleged narcotic sales on the South side of the City of Poughkeepsie.

Drug Task Force Agents identified activity consistent with the sale and distribution of dangerous drugs in the area of Dean Place and surrounding areas in the City of Poughkeepsie. Agents identified the alleged dangerous drug dealer as Marc Greenland and began purchasing PCP, or also known as Angel Dust, from the defendant on numerous occasions in this area during the course of this investigation. Phencyclidine (PCP), commonly known by the street name "Angel Dust," is an illegal and highly dangerous synthetic drug that acts as a powerful hallucinogen. PCP causes users to feel completely detached from their surroundings and bodies, often leading to severe delusions, extreme paranoia, and unpredictable, violent behavior. The risk of a fatal overdose is exceptionally high causing dangerous spikes in body temperature, coma, or sudden cardiac arrest, making it a critical threat to public safety.
On 10/15/2026 members of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force with the assistance of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Service Unit (SWAT) and the Poughkeepsie Joint SWAT team executed a search warrant at the defendant’s address on Dean Place where he was taken into custody without incident. During the search of the residence by Drug Task Force Agents numerous packages of PCP were located ready for sale along with other evidence related to the sale and distribution of this dangerous drug. The defendant was charged with the following:
(1) Count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, a class D Felony.
(1) Count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree with intent to sell, a class D Felony
The defendant was later arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie and remanded without bail to the Justice and Transition Center, formerly known as the Dutchess County Jail, as required by NYS law.
District Attorney Anthony Parisi said, “The distribution of dangerous drugs like PCP poses a serious threat to the safety and well-being of our communities. These substances not only endanger those who use them, but their unpredictable and potentially violent effects can put entire neighborhoods, families, and law enforcement officers at risk. The residents of Dutchess County deserve to live in neighborhoods free from the dangers associated with illegal drug trafficking. I commend the members of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, and the Poughkeepsie Joint SWAT team for their coordinated efforts.”
As with any criminal case, the charges described above are merely accusations, and those named are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
