Drug Task Force Agents working in the Town of Poughkeepsie identified activity consistent with the sale and distribution of narcotics being conducted out of the College Wash and Dry Laundromat near Vassar College.   Agents identified the alleged narcotic and dangerous drug dealer as Taryll Cutchin and began purchasing narcotics from the defendant on numerous occasions in this area during the course of this investigation.

On 10/06/2026 members of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force took the defendant into custody inside the College Wash and Dry Laundromat on Raymond Ave where he was found to be in possession of a quantity of narcotics packaged for sale.

The defendant was charged with the following:

(1)  Count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a class B Felony

The defendant was later arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court (Judge covering for the Town of Poughkeepsie Court) and released at a later date as required by NYS law.  Numerous other charges are pending against the defendant related to the sale of narcotics.

“The alleged sale of narcotics from a business in the heart of the Arlington community, near Vassar College and surrounded by residents, students, and other businesses, is exactly the type of activity our Drug Task Force is working every day to disrupt,” said District Attorney Anthony Parisi. “Those who choose to traffic dangerous drugs in our communities should understand that we will identify them, investigate them, and hold them accountable. I commend the members of the Drug Task Force for their continued proactive work to keep narcotics off our streets and protect the people of Dutchess County.”

As with any criminal case, the charges described above are merely accusations, and those named are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
