Arlington High School Placed on Lockdown

On October 22, 2018 at approximately 10:00am, the Dutchess County 911 Center received a call about a possible threat at the Arlington High School.

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer assigned to the Arlington High School immediately notified the school administration and the school’s safety plan was activated. The high school was placed in lockdown while the School Resource Officer along with additional sheriff’s deputies and state troopers investigated the incident.

All students and staff are safe. At approximately 11:15am, the lockdown was lifted after the threat was determined to be a prank. The school remains in a hold and place while the Sheriff’s Office and school officials continue to investigate this incident. New York State Police assisted at the scene.
