Drug Task Force Apprehends Beacon Fentanyl and Cocaine Dealer With Ghost Handgun

The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force reports an investigation into the sale of fentanyl and cocaine in the City of Beacon. 

The investigation resulted in the identification of George Cintron, age 37, who sold fentanyl to Drug Task Force Agents during this investigation.   At the conclusion of the investigation a search warrant was obtained by the Drug Task Force to search the home of Cintron located in the City of Beacon.

The evening of 10/17/2024 Drug Task Force Agents and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit took Cintron into custody on Beekman Street in the City of Beacon then executed the search warrant at his residence located a short distance away.    As a result of the search warrant being executed Cintron was found in possession of more than 16 ounces of cocaine, fentanyl, ecstasy, and an illegal “Ghost” handgun.   
Cintron was charged with the following crimes: 

(1) Count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree, an A1 Felony
(1) Count of Criminal Possession of a Firearm 3rd Degree, a class D Felony


Cintron is being held at the City of Beacon Police Department pending his arraignment in the morning of 10/18/2024.   The Drug Task Force was assisted by the City of Beacon Police Department with this investigation. 
The Drug Task Force is aggressively pursuing narcotic and dangerous drug dealers county wide to prevent the distribution of poison in our communities.
