Drug Task Force - Main Street Fentanyl Dealer Arrested

The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force reports on going investigations into narcotic and dangerous drug dealers operating in the areas of Main Street between North Clinton Street and North Hamilton Streets.   

Drug Task Force Agents identified another fentanyl dealer operating in the area of 455 Main Street and identified him as Jahking Z. Murphy, age 19.  Drug Task Force Agents then made fentanyl purchases from Mr. Murphy in this area.

On 11/25/24 Drug Task Force Agents with the assistance of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit executed a search warrant at Mr. Murphy’s residence located inside 455 Main Street.  

As a result of this search warrant Mr. Murphy was taken into custody without incident and charged with the following:

  • (2) Counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a Class B Felony.

Mr. Murphy was arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court and released on electronic monitoring as required by New York State law.  

Fentanyl is deadly and those individuals who choose to sell this poison in Dutchess County will be aggressively targeted by the Drug Task Force.
