Drug Task Force – Pawling School Zone Meth and Fentanyl Dealer Arrested After Search Warrant

 The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force has been working on an investigation into the sale of Methamphetamine, also known as “Crystal Meth”, Fentanyl, and other dangerous drugs in the Town of Pawling for a significant amount of time. Drug Task Force Agents identified the dangerous drug dealer as William Frenza, age 59, who was selling these drugs out of his residence on Reservoir Road near the entrance to the Pawling Middle School and Pawling High School. Drug Task Force Agents purchased dangerous drugs from Mr. Frenza and ultimately obtained a search warrant for his residence.

On 11/06/2024 at or about 9:00 pm, Drug Task Force Agents and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit executed a search warrant at the residence and arrested Mr. Frenza. Mr. Frenza was in possession of a significant quantity of fentanyl packaged for sale, Methamphetamine, and other narcotic drugs.

Following his arrest Frenza was charged with the following felony offenses:

(1) Count of Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree with the intent to sell (narcotic drug), a class B felony.

(1) Count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree with the intent to sell (Methamphetamine), a class D felony.

(1) Count of Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug 4th

Mr. Frenza was later arraigned in the Town of Pawling Court and remanded to DCJ on 100K cash bail, 200K secured bond or 400K partially secured bond.

The Drug Task Force is starting to see an increase in Methamphetamine being sold in Dutchess County. The public is urged to contact the Drug Task Force with any information regarding the sale or manufacturing of Methamphetamine or any dangerous drug in Dutchess County. The Drug Task Force is making it a priority to keep dangerous drugs like Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Cocaine out of our communities.
