The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force has arrested William Oliver, age 33, from New Jersey, related to the sale of narcotics and dangerous drugs in the Town of Pleasant Valley and surrounding areas.
The investigation began after the Drug Task Force began conducting multiple purchases of narcotics from a person Agents identified as William Oliver out of an apartment within the Pleasant Valley Garden Apartments in the Town of Pleasant Valley. As a result of this investigation a search warrant was obtained for Mr. Oliver’s residence.
On 10/08/2025 Drug Task Force Agents assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Service Unit (SWAT) and the Poughkeepsie SWAT team executed a search warrant at Mr. Oliver’s address where he was taken into custody without incident.
Mr. Oliver was taken to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and charged with the following:
(1) Count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, a class B felony
*Other charges are pending against Mr. Oliver related to this investigation.
Mr. Oliver was arraigned in the Town of Pleasant Valley Court and remanded to the DCJ.
The Drug Task Force is disrupting the sale of dangerous drugs in our communities and holding narcotic and dangerous drug dealers accountable. The Drug Task Force was assisted by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Dangerous Drugs and Violent Crime Unit, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Bureau, the New York State Police Community Stabilization Unit, the City of Beacon Police, the Town of Fishkilll Police, the Town of East Fishkill Police, the Town of Hyde Park Police, the Town of Pleasant Valley building department and the City of Poughkeepsie Police during this investigation. The continued calibration between the listed agencies is the reason the Drug Task Force is so successful.
