Drug Task Force Raids Town of Poughkeepsie Residence After Arrest at Billiard Hall

Daryl L. Jackson, age 52The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force reports the arrest of Daryl L. Jackson, age 52, at the Julliet Billard Café on Raymond Ave in the Town of Poughkeepsie related to narcotic and dangerous drug sales in the Poughkeepsie area.   

The investigation has been ongoing for several months after Drug Task Force Agents identified the defendant as an alleged narcotic and dangerous drug dealer operating out of a residence on Jean Drive in the Spackenkill Poughkeepsie area as well as other locations.  Drug Task Force Agents made several narcotic purchases from the defendant throughout this investigation.  

On 02/24/2026 in evening hours undercover Drug Task Force Agents arrested the defendant at the Julliet Billiard Café where he was found to be in possession of a large quantity of narcotics packaged for sale.   Shortly after his arrest Drug Task Force Agents executed a search warrant at 15 Jean Drive in the Town of Poughkeepsie where additional evidence of drug sales was seized.   The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office assisted at both scenes.   

Daryl L. Jackson was charged with the following:  

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (intent to sell) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (weight), both Class Be Felonies.   *Several charges are pending against the defendant related to this investigation.  

The defendant was later arraigned in the Town of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center, formerly known as the Dutchess County Jail, without bail as required by law.
The Drug Task Force is responsible for apprehending narcotic and dangerous drug dealers throughout Dutchess County.   

As with any criminal case, the charges described above are merely accusations, and those named are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
