The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force has been investigating complaints of drug sales and drug activity made by residents of the High View Estates located at 26 Cooper Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie.    

During the course of this investigation Luke M. Grady, age 41, a resident of the High View Estates was identified as being involved in the sales of dangerous drugs.  During the course of this investigation, which took place over the course of a year, Drug Task Force Agents purchased narcotics on multiple occasions from Mr. Grady in the Town of Poughkeepsie.  

On 03/26/2025 Drug Task Force Agents assisted by Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Service Unit (SWAT) executed a warrant at Mr. Grady’s residence and arrested him related to the narcotic sales he made to the Drug Task Force.   Mr. Grady was taken into custody without incident.

At the time of Mr. Grady’s arrest a sawed-off pistol grip shotgun was secured from inside the residence.  Mr.

Grady has been charged with the following:

(1)    Count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, a Class B felony.
Mr. Grady is facing additional charges that may be presented to a Grand Jury related to this investigation in the near future.  

Mr. Grady was transported to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office for processing then later moved to the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department where he was held until his arraignment.   Mr. Grady was later arraigned and released by the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court as required by New York State Law.

The Drug Task Force was assisted by members of the community as well as the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department during this investigation.   Drug Task Force Agents will aggressively pursue those individuals who target vulnerable community members by selling narcotics and dangerous drugs.
