Dutchess Drug Task Force Seizes Several Ounces of Crack Cocaine

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force reports the arrest of Edward C. Jackson Jr, 45 years old, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, a class A-II Felony. Edward C. Jackson Jr is a City of Poughkeepsie resident. These charges are accusations and Edward C. Jackson Jr is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force is actively investigating the sale of crack cocaine, which is often mixed with fentanyl, in the Dutchess County area. As a result of this investigation, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Fox Terrace in the City of Poughkeepsie on 06/29/23 by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit. More than 5 ounces of crack cocaine packaged and ready for sale was seized by Drug Task Force Agents. The Drug Task Force was assisted by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Neighborhood Recovery Unit.
