The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Brandon Mima, age 21 of Beacon, in connection with an investigation at the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center. Mr. Mima was incarcerated at the time of the incident and arrest, and remains there at the time of this writing.
Mr. Mima is accused of violating an order of protection by contacting a protected party via telephone and video. He was arrested on 10/18/24 and has been charged with aggravated family offense (felony), criminal contempt 1st degree (felony), and criminal contempt 2nd degree (misd). Mr. Mima is scheduled to appear before the City of Poughkeepsie Court for arraignment on 10/28/24.
As with any criminal case the charges described above are merely accusations, and Mr. Mima is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
