The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Nykiem McLean, age 27 of Rhinebeck, NY, in connection with an investigation at the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center. Mr. McLean was incarcerated at the time of the incident and remains there at the time of this writing.
Mr. McLean is accused of violating an Order of Protection by contacting a protected party. He was arrested on 7/22/24 and has been charged with Aggravated Family Offense (Felony) and Criminal Contempt 2nd degree (Misd). Mr. McLean is scheduled to appear before the City of Poughkeepsie Court for arraignment on 08/26/24.
As with any criminal case the charges described above are merely accusations, and Mr. McLean is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
