The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force has been conducting an ongoing investigation into Narcotic and Dangerous Drug sales throughout Dutchess County and beyond. During the course of this investigation multiple suspects were developed. One suspect, identified as Rahmel P. Garraway, age 31, was determined to be operating out of various locations including a house in the Town of East Fishkill.
On 12/20/2024 Drug Task Force Agents along with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit and the Town of East Fishkill Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence off Robinson Lane in the Town of East Fishkill. Mr. Garraway was taken into custody without incident and found to be in possession of a significant quantity of cocaine packaged for sale and a loaded handgun.
Mr. Garraway was charged with the following offenses:
Mr. Garraway was later arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Justice Court and remanded to DCJ without bail. Several additional charges are pending in this case against Mr. Garraway.
The Drug Task Force continues to remove Narcotic and Dangerous Drug Dealers from our communities. This case is one of many under investigation by the Drug Task Force. As with any criminal case, the charges described above are merely an accusation and those individuals named in this release are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
