Drug Task Force – Narcotic and Dangerous Drug Dealer Apprehended

The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task conducts ongoing investigations into narcotic and dangerous drug sales in Dutchess County.  An investigation was initiated after information was received by the Drug Task Force that a person was selling narcotics out of a residence on Carroll Street in the City of Poughkeepsie. 

As a result, the Drug Task force began to purchase narcotics from Latif S. Reid-Ogarro, age 31, in the area of this residence and at other locations nearby.  Drug Task Force Agents purchased narcotics on multiple occasions from Mr. Reid-Ogarro which led to a search warrant being obtained for his residence on Carroll Street. On 04/09/2025 Drug Task Force Agents and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit (SWAT) executed the search warrant at the residence resulting in Mr. Reid-Ogarro being arrested and charged with the following:

(2) Counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, intent to sell, a class B Felony.

Mr. Reid-Ogarro is currently being held at the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department pending his arraignment later this date in City Court. 

The Drug Task Force continues to work diligently to identify and hold those accountable who sell narcotics and dangerous drugs which fuels violent crime in Dutchess County.  

The Drug Task Force was assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Bureau and the District Attorney’s Dangerous Drug and Violent Crimes Unit.
