Sheriff Kirk Imperati is pleased to announce that the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office will once again be at the Dutchess County Fair. The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office exhibit will be located in the Infield area of the fairgrounds and will be staffed during Fair hours. This year’s exhibit has been revamped and will feature opportunities to meet Deputy Sheriffs, Correction Officers and members of our UAS (Drone) and K-9 Units. It will have interactive displays including our new virtual reality simulators, our Child ID program with Child ID’s being offered 11 AM – 1 PM and 5PM – 7 PM each day that the Fair is open. The exhibit will also feature information on The New York State Sheriff’s Association “Blue Envelope” & “Yellow Dot” programs, Project Lifesaver, The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office & DCDS PBA NERLEEA Youth Cadet Program, and much more!
The Sheriff’s Office will once again be conducting K-9 demonstrations on the track near the Grandstands. This year’s demonstrations will also feature the DCSO UAS (Drone) unit. These demonstrations aim to highlight the capabilities of each unit and how they work together in law enforcement. The demonstration schedule is as follows:
