The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports an investigation into a fatal crash which occurred on State Route 22 in the Town of North East on the morning of June 29, 2026.
The accident involved a motor vehicle and two (2) motorcycles that collided near 5761 Route 22 in the Town of North East. One of the motorcycle operators passed away due to injuries sustained from the collision. The other motorcycle operator was transported to Vassar Hospital, where they are in critical condition. The operator of the motor vehicle was also transported to Vassar Hospital for medical evaluation. The cause of the accident and accident itself remain under investigation.
