The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Yvette Aleman (age 49 of Brooklyn, NY) for assault stemming from a domestic dispute in the Town of Pleasant Valley at approximately 8:30 pm on 8/11/13.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Vassar Hospital at approximately 9:00 pm for a report of a male patient that had been brought in from a stabbing. The victim had been stabbed once in the chest, and was being treated for serious injuries as a result. The Sheriff’s Office Detective Division then became involved in the investigation, and after further interviews and investigation it was determined that the incident had occurred at the Pleasant Valley Estates Apartments on West Road in Pleasant Valley. Ms. Allman is accused of allegedly stabbing her boyfriend during a dispute at that location, and the boyfriend will not be identified at this time.

Ms. Aleman has been charged with assault in the 1st degree (Class B Felony), and after being processed she was arraigned at the Pleasant Valley Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash or $60,000 bond. As in all other criminal cases, the charges described here are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. More information may be released as it becomes available.
