The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Kevin Garrett (41 yoa) of Poughkeepsie for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st a felony in the early morning hours of Saturday February 22, 2014.
Garrett was initially stopped for a speeding violation on Rte 9 southbound in the Town of Hyde Park after which a check revealed he did not have a driver’s license and that his privilege to operate a motor vehicle in New York State had been suspended. He had 20 active suspensions on 11 dates from various municipalities in Dutchess, Orange and Ulster counties. He was held and later arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court where he was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $1,500/$3,000 bail to appear in the Town of Hyde Park Court at a later date.
Additionally, a 20 yoa female who was a passenger in Garrett’s vehicle was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marihuana a violation.
