The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Ian Santiago of the Bronx, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. On February 28, 2014 at approximately 9:37pm Santiago was stopped on State Route 22 in the Town of Pawling after Deputies observed that his vehicle’s taillights were not illuminated. Upon speaking with Santiago, Deputies observed an odor of Marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Further investigation by Deputies at the traffic stop revealed Santiago to be in possession of Cocaine and Marijuana. Santiago is to appear in the Town of Pawling Justice Court on 03/20/2014. The charges described here are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
