Sheriff Kirk Imperati is pleased to announce that the next written exam for the position of Deputy Sheriff/police officer has been scheduled for Saturday September 28, 2024.

The written exam is the first step for those wishing to begin a rewarding career in law enforcement. The Sheriff’s Office is continually seeking qualified candidates and expects that there will be employment opportunities for those that successfully complete the hiring process, starting with the written exam. Once hired Deputy Sheriffs have practically unlimited opportunities within the Sheriff Office including (but not limited to) promotions to supervision or Detective ranks, the ability to join different Bureaus such as Special Operations or Training, and/or the chance to become part of numerous specialty units like Emergency Services, K9, or Unmanned Aircraft Systems (drones). The aforesaid description of opportunities is merely a brief example, as there are many more paths that someone can take after they become part of the Sheriff’s Office team.

Anyone who is interested in a career in law enforcement is strongly urged to take the written exam on 9/28/24, and there is also a free test prep course offered for those who would like extra practice ahead of it. Those interested should visit the below link for more information about the exam itself and the Deputy Sheriff position, and please see the accompanying flyer for more information about the test prep course.
