Beacon… Dutchess County Executive William R. Steinhaus and Director Nelson Eddy Rivera of the Dutchess County Veterans Service Agency announce the opening of a County Veterans Service Agency in the City of Beacon. The satellite office is located at 223 Main Street and open every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free parking is available in adjacent parking lot at this location.
County Executive Steinhaus said, “We are pleased to bring the assistance of our valued County Veterans Agency to Beacon and residents of Southern Dutchess. Our intent is to make it more convenient for Veterans and their families to seek assistance and have questions answered without a whole lot of traveling.”
The County’s Department of Veteran’s Affairs is responsible for informing, advising and assisting veterans, service personnel and their families in obtaining benefits provided by federal, state and county government. Staff is also available to assist in addressing needs and concerns of area veterans.
