Dutchess County Comptroller Gregg Pulver Releases 2024 Q2 Update on Allocation and Spending of American Rescue Plan (ARP) Funds

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. – The Dutchess County Comptroller’s Office has released their Q2 Special Update Report on the ARP federal funding, the “Dutchess Invests” spending plan, and actual expenditures/obligations of the County as of June 30, 2024. The County has received a total of $57,148,397 in ARP funds and has since spent $31,397,264, of which $1,028,536 was spent in the 2nd quarter of 2024.

 

The four largest expenditures from Q2 were for: (1) The installation of a splash pad at Wilcox Park – $268,154; (2) Design and fabrication of antenna support towers for the County’s public safety radio system – $238,113; (3) Multiple buildings to be used to house radio communication equipment used by the Department of Emergency Response – $215,420; and (4) Architectural services, planning, design, and construction administration of the Youth Opportunity Center – $79,417.

 

As of June 30, 2024, $42,111,228 of the total ARP allotment was budgeted as revenue, $31,397,264 had been spent, and another $0 has been encumbered or obligated for payment. Per the updated plan, the remaining $25,751,133 of unobligated ARP revenue will be used to various educational costs.
