The Vehicular Crimes Unit prosecutes through trial those offenders who, while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, are charged with Driving While Intoxicated, and in addition, those intoxicated offenders who injure or take the lives of innocent victims through their reckless or negligent conduct.

The Justice Court Unit prosecutes, through trial, all misdemeanor offenses committed in any of the twenty towns, eight villages and two cities in Dutchess County, as well as all felonies not specifically handled by the Violent Crimes and Dangerous Drugs Unit, Special Victims Unit and Vehicular Crimes Unit.
