Kendall Submits 2018 Annual Report of the Dutchess County Clerk’s Office

Dutchess County Clerk Bradford H. Kendall has submitted the Annual Report for 2018 of the Dutchess County Clerk’s Office to the County Executive and Chairman of the Legislature. Pursuant to Section 406 of County Law, the annual report provides an overview of the finances and operations of the Dutchess County Clerk’s Office and highlights the work and activities conducted over the past year as well as a preview of the year ahead.  

Under the direction and fiscal stewardship of County Clerk Kendall, the Dutchess County Clerk’s Office ended 2018 with a surplus. From 2007 through 2018, the Clerk’s Office has generated a surplus of revenue over expenditures of just under $8,000,000.

Highlighted in the report is the following:

  • Delivery of programs and services in 2018 surpassed over 400,000 transactions.
  • The addition of three Motor Vehicle Clerk positions to address REAL ID compliant transactions. 
  • The expansion of e-filing in Civil Case actions.
  • The launch of the ThinkDIFFERENTLY backscanning project.
  • Twenty-nine events and programs conducted by the Department of History held throughout Dutchess County.

County Clerk Kendall stated, “As we close out 2018, we continue our commitment to provide services in a cost effective, efficient and friendly manner.  Considering our electronic footprint the services we provide transcend the physical boundaries of Dutchess County. I am grateful to our partners in government and to the staff of the Dutchess County Clerk’s Office in our steadfast dedication to those we serve each and every day.”
