Poughkeepsie… According to Dutchess County Clerk Bradford Kendall, a local law adopted by the Dutchess County Legislature in 2008 will increase recording fees in the clerk’s office effective February 2nd.
Known as the “Enhanced Personal Privacy Protection for Recorded Documents Law, the local law allows for the increase of fees for certain documents recorded in the County Clerk’s office.
The new fees are as follows: $45 Recording Fee
$ 5 per page (excluding the cover page)
The $45 recording fee is assessed as follows:
Recording Fee - $20
Cover Page - $5
Local Government Records Improvement Fund - $5
Cultural Education Account - $15
Total - $45
