Re: Dutchess County Executive’s Annual Report for 2013
Pursuant to the Dutchess County Charter, filed herewith is the County Executive’s written report of the finances of the County and the activities of the Executive Branch of County Government for the year 2013.
In partnership with the Legislature, our mission is to create a more fiscally stable and efficient organization that delivers effective services and programs to the people we serve. We accomplish this transformation over time by focusing on the essential problems at hand, being as inclusive as possible with all of our stakeholders, using logic to do what makes sense, and ensuring fairness in all our decisions. As you read through the many accomplishments and work outcomes produced by our dedicated county employees in 2013, I am certain you will agree that we are making tremendous progress. We are grateful to all county employees for their continued hard work and commitment in serving Dutchess County residents.
I ask that the Legislature join me in reaffirming our commitment to this mission and the multi-year transformation necessary to achieve our goal of an efficient yet effective county government. We look forward to presenting the 2014 priorities and initiatives, year two of our multi-year transformation, for Dutchess County Government at the State of the County address on Tuesday, March 4th, 5:30pm at Dutchess Community College.
