Poughkeepsie … The Local Early Intervention Coordinating Council (LEICC) invites the public to attend its next meeting on Thursday, July 18th, from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Dutchess County Emergency Response Center, located at 392 Creek Road, Poughkeepsie.

The purpose of the LEICC, which includes parents, professionals and community members, is to provide a forum to discuss issues related to the needs of young children with developmental delays and their families, as well as share education, ideas, concerns and experiences.

There will be a speaker from Parent to Parent of NY to discuss support for parents who have children with an I/DD diagnosis.

The LEICC meets bi-annually to provide program updates and discuss issues and policies related to the New York State Early Intervention Program, which provides services for children with disabilities from ages birth through 3 years.
