Published: 4/21/2016

Poughkeepsie… The Dutchess County Department of Behavioral & Community Health (DBCH) announced today it will hold a public forum on May 2 to discuss service needs for children and youth with emotional issues and/or chemical dependency, and a forum on May 3 to discuss service needs for adult mental health consumers.

Each forum will take place from 4-6 p.m. at Mental Health America of Dutchess County, Conference Room B, 253 Mansion Street  in the City of Poughkeepsie.

“We invite individuals and their family members to share their thoughts and ideas about what services are needed in our community,” DBCH Commissioner Henry M. Kurban, MD, MBA, MPH, FACPM said.  “Input from those most closely affected by these services will enable us to shape highly effective local governmental plans for 2017.”

For those unable to attend, or not comfortable speaking in public, the DBCH staff welcomes written comments to be read to those in attendance. Individuals may submit comments online at www.dutchessny.gov/forumcomments, or may fax comments to (845) 486-3690, or mail to: Public Forums, 230 North Road, Poughkeepsie, NY, 12601.
