Harlem Valley Rail Trail

The Harlem Valley Rail Trail (HVRT) is a terrific family destination park for county residents and visitors. The paved trail weaves through farms, wetlands, forest hillsides, historic settlements and village centers. What a wonderful opportunity for bicyclists, walkers, joggers, roller-bladers and more to enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty of our County up close.

Rules of the Harlem Valley Rail Trail

Please observe the following rules to keep our trail safe and clean for all to enjoy:

The trail is open from dawn to dusk.

This is a "Carry in/ Carry Out" Park- NO LITTERING

All Groups who wish to use the trail for ANY special event or activity must submit a Usage Permit from the Parks Division Main office and submit the required fee and insurance before any event will be permitted.

Please be courteous and considerate of other trail users.
