Route Modifications in Effect January 4, 2025
- Dutchess County Public Transit’s new schedules will go into effect on January 4, 2025. The changes will improve the system's efficiency, increase service to the Route 9 corridor, add express service from Poughkeepsie to Walmart in Fishkill and Amazon in East Fishkill, provide increased local service for Dutchess Community College students and add Sunday service to the Beacon Free Loop. No Service
- We are closed on June 19th, 2025, in observance of Juneteenth.
DCC Students Ride FREE!
- Effective August 2024, through May 31, 2025, Dutchess Community College Students carrying a valid 2024/25 Student I.D. will be permitted to ride any of the regularly scheduled routes on Dutchess County Public Transportation for free.
- Effective June 1 - August 1, 2025, Dutchess Community College Student fare is $0.75 per ride with valid student ID.
Seatbelts are available on almost all Dutchess County Public Transit (DCPT) buses.
- DCPT believes seatbelts can prevent injuries and encourages their use while riding seated when the bus is in motion.
Dutchess County Public Transit recommends that children under 12 years old be accompanied by an adult.
