RIDER ALERTS

 

Route, B, G, and F 

  • Due to construction in Beacon, Teller St is currently closed. Buses will be using S Chestnut St to Wolcott Ave

Route F 

  • Due to road closure on Fishkill Avenue Rt 52 between Wilkes Street and Ackerman Street, Route F will be using Wilkes Street, Matteawan Road and Verplanck Avenue and continue on Fishkill Avenue.

 

Sunday, July 28, 2024. Detour Route L 

  • Due to road closure on Main Street between Market Street and Columbus Street, route L will be detoured through the Arterial after servicing the Poughkeepsie Train Station and using Market Street to get back to Main Street. 

 

Dutchess County Public Transit recommends that children under 12 years old be accompanied by an adult.

 

No Bus Service on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024.

  • We are closed on Monday, September 2, in observance of Labor Day.

New Bus Shelters at Walmart and Poughkeepsie Galleria in Use Effective June 1st. Service to previous bus stops at these locations will end June 1st.

  • Walmart - Sidewalk outside near “curbside pickup” area (corner closest to Sam’s Club)
  • Poughkeepsie Galleria - Near upper level main entrance  (C&C Hair Salon and former Sears)

Route Modifications Update

  • Dutchess County Public Transit’s proposed route modifications have been postponed until later this year as we continue to review public input and the potential impacts on riders and our community to make final route adjustments.  Updates will be announced as routes are finalized and a new starting date is determined. 

DCC Students Ride FREE! 

  • Effective August 28, 2023, thru May 31, 2024, Dutchess Community College Students carrying a valid 2023/24 Student I.D. will be permitted to ride any of the regularly scheduled routes on Dutchess County Public Transportation for free. 

Seatbelts are available on almost all Dutchess County Public Transit (DCPT) buses.

  • DCPT believes seatbelts can prevent injuries and encourages their use while riding seated when the bus is in motion.
