Nutrition Education and Counseling

As we age, nutritional needs change. Adequate nutrition is necessary for health, quality of life and vitality.  The Dutchess County Office for the Aging provides a wide array of resources for older adults to learn about how to ensure a healthy and balanced diet.

Education on dietary concerns is offered on a regular basis at each of our OFA Friendship Centers.

Individual nutrition counseling by a Registered Dietician is available to older adults through the Office for the Aging’s Nutrition Program.

The Office for the Aging also publishes a monthly nutrition newsletter and for all nutrition program participants, as well as to others who are interested.   Sign up for newsletters via Dutchess Delivery
