We provide subsidized day care to eligible county residents. We can help offset the day care costs for you while you attend work or school. There is no cost to apply. You can keep your existing provider and reduce day care costs to as little as $1 per week.
SCAM ALERT – Our office has been notified of a Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) scam requesting payment of an overpayment for benefits. – Please be advised that, in Dutchess County, any legitimate overpayment for Child Care Assistance benefits is handled solely by the Department of Community and Family Services (DCFS). Clients will receive official communication from DCFS, including both a telephone call and a written notice by mail with the overpayment amount, and authorized payment instructions.
If you are contacted about an overpayment associated with your Child Care Assistance case by someone who is NOT a DCFS staff member, do not provide any personal or financial information, and contact the Dutchess County Child Care Assistance Unit at 845-486-3190.
