- Will there be a pool or gymnasium included in the proposed Law Enforcement Center? No, there are no plans to include a pool or gymnasium in the design of the Law Enforcement Center.
- Why is the County planning to construct the Law Enforcement Center before the Justice & Transition Center? In order to build the new Justice & Transition Center, the current Sheriff's Office needs to be demolished to make room for the first phase of construction of the Justice & Transition Center. Additionally, the Sheriff’s Office building was built in the 1920s. It is unsafe, inefficient, and will require extensive maintenance over the next several years if the building is not replaced.
