Bowdoin Park is a picturesque 301-acre park located on the banks of the Hudson River, on Sheafe Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie, NY. Scenic views of the Hudson River, open areas for picnicking, an award-winning handicapped-accessible playground area and a seasonal splash pad are just the beginning of what Bowdoin Park has to offer. Into sports? We offer facilities to play soccer and two softball fields as well as a nationally recognized cross-country race course. Or stroll along more than four miles of well-maintained trails. View the wetland areas from our boardwalks, observe the wildlife, or sit on a bench and enjoy the beauty of the park.
Having an event? Bowdoin Park now offers five pavilions, a community room, two softball fields, two soccer fields, a sand volleyball court, Gaga Ball pit and half-court basketball court, and don’t forget the historic Ellessdie Chapel or the Maple Knoll Lodge, which are perfect for weddings, receptions and holiday parties.
