SECURITY FEE: Park staff monitors each facility rental. Any violation of Parks Rules and Regulations will result in the forfeiture of security fee. Violations are reported to Director of Parks.
Violations include, but not limited to; violating stated capacity limit, serving alcohol without an approved permit, having food trucks or caterers cooking onsite without a permit, damage to the facility/property, leaving litter after event, and staying past appointed check-out time. Reservations made in the name of a business, organization, or nonprofit are required to submit insurance thirty (30) days prior to the reservation date for approval. Please call the Parks Office for the insurance requirement guidelines.
Insurance is required for all alcohol permits. A separate alcohol application (additional $125) and insurance requirements must be submitted for review thirty (30) days in advance of scheduled event to qualify. The sale of any alcohol is strictly prohibited. Anyone found selling beer or wine will be evicted from the park by local law enforcement.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must be made at least seven (7) days prior to the reservations date and are subject to a $50 service charge to be deducted prior to any refund. No refunds are given for cancellations made within seven (7) days of the reservation date. There shall be no rain dates on reservations.
Pavilion Season at Bowdoin Park is from April 27 - October 27.
PAVILION 1 - Picnic table seating for 60 people. (10 picnic tables) This pavilion is located adjacent to softball field. This site includes a wheelchair ramp with public bathrooms nearby. Pavilion 1 also includes electrical outlets and water.
PAVILION 2 - Picnic table seating for 72 people. (12 Picnic Tables)
Located next to small pond and bathrooms are attached. Also includes, electrical outlets and water.
PAVILION 3 - Picnic table seating for 72 people. (12 Picnic Tables)
Located close to playground area and splash pad. Public Bathrooms are attached and also includes electrical outlets and water.
PAVILION 4- Picnic table seating for 95 people. (15 Picnic Tables) - This pavilion is located at north section of the park beyond Ellessdie Chapel and near the archery range. Bathrooms are attached and includes electrical outlets and water.
PAVILION 5 - Picnic table seating for up to 95 outside / 64 inside (150 total). Indoor room has AC, heat, electric, and water. Includes 10 rectangular tables, kitchen area (stove, fridge, and microwave) accessible bathrooms and scenic view. Music is allowed but NOT professionally amplified.
PAVILION 6 - Park Director approval needed for use. Max 50 people. No bathrooms or water.
TAMARACK HILL PICNIC AREA - Picnic tables seating for 36 (six picnic tables) near playground area and splashpad. No building/shelter. Picnic area is only available Monday-Friday to limited to small groups. Please call the Parks office for more information or to set up a reservation.

Amenities at Maple Knoll Lodge:

If any alcohol is found at the facility without an approved permit, renters will be asked to leave the park and security fees will not be returned. No exceptions.
Weekends: Friday-Sunday. Must reserve entire weekend Friday-Sunday. Single overnight reservations allowed during the week only.
*Security Fee refunds can take up to 8 weeks during the busy summer season, refundable only after park staff inspects facility after departure. Security is returned to cardholder of record or check-holder of record.

ALL facility use must have a $1 million liability insurance certificate and must include Host Liquor Liability. For individuals, businesses and organizations, the insurance should be from an insurer that has an A.M. Best Rating of “A” or better. Online special event insurance is also an option.

Those with a Homeowners Insurance Policy must send in a copy of the Declaration Page of the policy with an Umbrella/Excess Liability not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 in the aggregate. The policy must name the County of Dutchess, 22 Market Street, Poughkeepsie NY as the Certificate Holder and the event date must be named. Must also include a Host Liquor Liability.

Permittee agrees to defend, indemnify and hold the County of Dutchess harmless from any and all claims, lawsuits, liens, demands and causes of action arising out of the activity (ies) that is the subject of this Application. Scout Camping- Our group camping area is a rustic site reserved for only organized Scout groups. Please call the park office at 845-298-4600 for more information.
Pavilions- The park has three covered pavilions for rent and come with picnic table seating. Wilcox Park is a popular place for company picnics, family reunions, birthday parties and other events. Pavilion B has convenient access to the playground and ballfield, Pavilion C overlooks the park and beach, has kitchen facilities and attached bathrooms as well as designated parking, Pavilion D is closest to the main parking lot and boating lakes. Groups of 10 or more arriving by a bus or van are asked to contact the park office at 845-298-4600 two weeks prior to their visit for approval by park director. If approved to visit, insurance must be submitted, and applicable fee paid in advance. Please do not arrive without receiving prior approval by Park Director.
Boat Rentals- Paddle and row boats are available for rent on weekends June-August. No outside boats, kayaks, or SUP boards.
Age restrictions and life jackets are strictly enforced and are provided with each rental.
Swimming- The Swimming lake is closed. Swimming is strictly prohibited, and dogs are not allowed in any of the water areas.
Restricted for Scout Camping Only. Insurance is required from BSA/GSA Hudson Valley Council specific to reservation date. $25.00 per night Scout leaders must call Park office for reservations, payment by credit card only.
