Park Fee Schedule

Dutchess County Park facilities are available to rent for your next event! Please review our fee schedule for available facilities and amenities. Reservations can be made online, or by calling the Park Office during regular business hours.

Please Note

Reservation name must match the name on the credit card used for payment. All fees are due within 7 days of your reservation date. Reservations made in the name of a business, organization or nonprofit required to submit insurance four weeks prior to the reservation date, subject to approval before reservation can be confirmed. Must call the Parks Office for insurance requirement guideline. 

Insurance is required for all beer or wine permits. The sale of any alcohol is strictly prohibited. Anyone found selling beer or wine will be evicted from the park by local law enforcement.

Proof of residency is required to receive the resident rates. P.O. Boxes will not be accepted. A valid Dutchess County address and a valid NY photo ID are required.  Fax a copy of your ID to 845-298-4609.

Bouncy houses and inflatables are not allowed on park property. All County parks are non-smoking facilities. Dogs are not allowed on the beach or in the swimming lake at Wilcox Park.  All dogs must always be on a leash.

Check-in/Check-out: Check-out time is a half-hour before the park closes and park closing time changes seasonally (except Maple Knoll Lodge and cabins).

CANCELLATION POLICY:  A service charge of $50 will be deducted from refund requests up to 14 days of your reservation date. NO refunds will be issued within 14 days of the reservation date. Rain Dates will not be accepted.

Security Fee: Certain facility rentals require an additional security fee: Auditorium, Maple Knoll Lodge and the Quiet Cove Rental Room. Each facility has a MAXIMUM CAPACITY LIMIT stated. Violation of stated capacity limit will result in the forfeiture of security fee. Park staff monitors each facility rental, any violations are reported to Director of Parks. Serving alcohol without approved permit, damage to rental facility, exceeding stated check-in - check-out time on reservation.

 

Bowdoin Park Fee Schedule

Reservation "customer name" must match the name of the "cardholder" of the credit card used for payment - reservations taken by phone must be paid with a credit card and the cardholder must match the customer name on the reservation.

PAVILION 4- Seats 90- (15 Picnic Tables) - Most secluded -Located at north section of the park beyond the Chapel (north end of the park). Handicap bathrooms are attached.  Electrical outlets, water.

PAVILION 5 - Outside picnic table seating for 90, indoor room is climate controlled, inside capacity is 64 people; there are  64 chairs, 10 rectangular tables, convenience kitchen facility, handicap bathrooms are attached. Water and electrical outlets.

Insurance is required for all Beer / Wine Permit Requests. Beer/Wine application is separate, insurance requirements must be followed and submitted at least 4 weeks in advance of your event date. The cost of Special Event Insurance is not included in your application fee - but is required to obtain a permit to serve beer and wine. The sale of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited. Due to the expansion of our popular Park Naturalist Archery Programs there is limited rental availability on weekends September - May

After inspection from park staff security fee will be returned* During the busy park season: May - August security fees can take up to 8 weeks to be returned due to heavy seasonal activity. We always appreciate your understanding and will do everything possible to return any fees in a timely manor.

BEER / WINE permit requests WILL ONLY BE considered if insurance is provided 4-6 weeks prior to reservation date. ALL facility use must have a $1 million liability insurance certificate and ADDITIONAL INSURED ENDORSEMENT naming Dutchess County, 22 Market Street, Poughkeepsie NY 12601 as Additional Insured, Must include Host Liquor Liability.  CERTIFICATE HOLDER MUST READ EXACTLY: DUTCHESS COUNTY, 22 MARKET STREET, POUGHKEEPSIE, NY 12601.

 Insurance is a separate cost incurred by renter of facility. PLEASE CALL PARK OFFICE  AT 845-298-4600 FOR HELPFUL INFORMATION ON WHERE TO OBTAIN INSURANCE, Online special event insurance is also an option.

Incorrect insurance will be returned.

If a Homeowners policy is sent in a copy of the Declaration Page of the policy,  must carry an Umbrella/Excess Liability with not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 in the aggregate. Dutchess County, 22 Market Street, Poughkeepsie NY must be named as the Certificate Holder and the event date named. Must include Host Liquor Liability.

Must have waiver of subrogation for businesses and organizations: (a) Commercial General Liability with limits not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence.  Such insurance shall cover liability arising from premises, operations, independent contractors, product-completed operations, personal and advertising injury and liability assumed under an insured contract.  There shall be no endorsement or modification of the Commercial GL form arising from work performed by subcontractors. The County of Dutchess, 22 Market Street, Poughkeepsie, NY, 12601 must be listed as additional insured and certificate holder and waiver of subrogation.

INSURANCE, IF REQUIRED IS A SEPARATE COST TO CUSTOMERS, CALL PARK OFFICE 845-298-4600 FOR MORE INFORMATION CONCERNING WHERE TO OBTAIN EVENT INSURANCE FOR YOUR BEER / WINE PERMIT REQUEST AND IF YOU ARE A BUSINESS OR NON PROFIT GROUP.INSURANCE MUST BE APPROVED 4 WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF YOUR EVENT.

Facility is located on the upper level of the Park Office Building - * Reservation begins at 9am and ENDS 1/2 hour BEFORE PARK CLOSES, please check seasonal Park operating hours schedule.  We cannot allow extra hours past check-out time.

For an additional fee you can reserve for a set up or day after breakdown for your event. Contact park office for prices and availability. Unfortunately, we cannot extend the check out time of your reservation.

Kitchen facility - 4 burner residential electric stove with Double oven, Microwave, Refrigerator, Sink.

Maple Knoll Lodge Reservations: Minimum age requirement is 25 years of age. Those reserving for the first time must complete "New Applicant Interview" with Park Director. Call park office for appointment . 

Proof of age must be submitted prior to permit issue.

ID and permit will be required at check-in for the Maple Knoll Lodge.

MAXIMUM # people as per Fire Code is 60 in the Maple Knoll Lodge.

Cabins can only be reserved if you are also renting the Maple Knoll Lodge. THE SALE OF ANY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN

If any alcohol is found at the facility without an approved permit you and your guests will be evicted from the park and your security fee will not be returned.  No exceptions.

Weekends: Friday-Sunday. Must reserve entire weekend Friday-Sunday. Single overnight reservations allowed during the week only.

*Security Fee refunds can take up to 8 weeks during the busy summer season, refundable only after park staff inspects facility after departure.  Security is returned to cardholder of record or check-holder of record.

You are required to INSPECT the facility UPON ARRIVAL and report any damage or issues prior to taking occupancy. Call park office or staff. Failure to do so could result in forfeiture of security.

Beer & Wine Permits

Please Note

Absolutely no alcohol is allowed on or around the beach or waterfront areas at Wilcox Memorial Park or in the Chapel at Bowdoin Park. Beer and wine are permitted at pavilions only at Wilcox Park.

The sale of alcohol is strictly prohibited on Park property.

Insurance Requirements

Before a permit will be considered or issued, you MUST provide proof of age and insurance at least four weeks before your reservation date. Permit requests will ONLY be considered if insurance is provided 4-6 weeks prior to reservation date. Insurance is an additional expense incurred by customer. Insurance, ID and reservation information must match.

Upon request, park office will send all insurance requests.

ALL facility use must have a $1 million liability insurance certificate and must include Host Liquor Liability. For individuals, businesses and organizations, the insurance should be from an insurer that has an A.M. Best Rating of “A” or better. Online special event insurance is also an option.

Incorrect insurance will be returned.

Individuals and Groups

  1.   3. If required by the County, Umbrella/Excess Liability with a limit of not less than $2,000,000 per occurrence/aggregate.

Indemnification

Permittee agrees to defend, indemnify and hold the County of Dutchess harmless from any and all claims, lawsuits, liens, demands and causes of action arising out of the activity (ies) that is the subject of this Application. The person signing this Application has the express authority from the business or organization to agree to this indemnification provision.

Wilcox Park Fee Schedule

Note:  Entrance fees are charged only when the swimming lake is open. Row Boat Rentals, Paddle Boat Rentals & Mini Golf will be open when swimming lake is open.

Restricted for BSA/GSA SCOUT CAMPING ONLY. Insurance is required from BSA/GSA Hudson Valley Council specific to reservation date. $25.00 per night Scout leaders must call Park office for reservations, payment by credit card only. Wilcox office is staffed seasonally (845) 758-6100 or you can call the Bowdoin Park Office January - April (845)-298-4600.   Please call the park office for the Dutchess County Insurance Requirements.

Dutchess County Residents - proof of  Dutchess County Residence required  - A  PO BOX is not considered proof of residency,  your street address and township is. RV SITES 1 - 10 are strictly for RV's & trailers ONLY - no tenting reservations are allowed on these sites.

Please inform your guests of the name of your party and the name of the pavilion to gain entry to the park when arriving. Our Record Clerks will have your reservation information at the gate.

Pavilion A - Furthest, most secluded -  away from swimming, holds 50 people. Charcoal grill, restrooms located nearby.

Pavilion B - Near camp grounds w/ adjacent ball field and play area hold 75 people. Charcoal grill, restrooms located nearby.

Pavilion D - Closest to the beach has music restrictions, holds 75 people. Charcoal grill, restrooms located at lifeguard station/portolet nearby.
