Park Fee Schedule

Full payment due at the time of booking, online or by phone. Credit Card only. Where applicable; a security fee is refundable as long as there are no permit violations. Violations include, but not limited to; not following COVID-19 guidance, violating stated capacity limit, serving alcohol without approved insurance (a separate alcohol permit should be filed four weeks in advance of scheduled event to qualify), damage to property, and staying past appointed check-out time.  Reservation name and address must match the name on the credit card used for payment.

COVID-19:  We continue to follow all NYS and CDC guidance. 

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

Reservations made in the name of a business, organization or nonprofit required to submit insurance 4 weeks prior to the reservation date, subject to approval before reservation can be confirmed. Must call the Parks Office for insurance requirement guideline. 

Insurance is required for all beer / wine permits. Insurance must be submitted for review and approval 4 weeks prior to the reservation date. The sale of any alcohol is strictly prohibited. Anyone found selling beer or wine will be evicted from the park by local law enforcement.

A valid Dutchess County address and a valid NY photo ID are required.  Fax a copy of your ID to 845-298-4609.

Bouncy houses and inflatables are not allowed on park property. All County parks are non-smoking facilities. Dogs are not allowed inside the rental facilities or in any of the parks water areas. 

Check-in/Check-out: Check-out time is a half-hour before the park closes and park closing time changes seasonally.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  A service charge of $50 will be deducted from refund requests up to 7 days of your reservation date. NO refunds will be issued within 7 days of the reservation date. Rain Dates will not be accepted.

Security Fee: Park staff monitors each facility rental. Violation of stated capacity limit will result in the forfeiture of security fee, serving alcohol without approved insurance and approved permit, damage to rental facility, exceeding stated check-in - check-out time on reservation. Violations are reported to Director of Parks.

 

Bowdoin Park Fee Schedule

2021 Pavilion Season at Bowdoin Park is from May 1 - October 31

PAVILION 1 - Picnic table seating for 60 people. (10 picnic tables) This pavilion is located adjacent to softball field. This site includes a wheelchair ramp with accessible public bathrooms nearby.  Pavilion 1 also includes electrical outlets and water.

$175.00 per day - Dutchess County Resident Rate - *Proof of Residency Required
$250.00 per day - Non-Resident Rate.

PAVILION  2 - Picnic table seating for 75 people. (12 Picnic Tables)
Located next to small pond. Accessible bathrooms are attached. Also includes, electrical outlets and water.

$175.00 per day - Dutchess County Resident Rate - *Proof of Residency Required
$250.00 per day - Non-Resident Rate.

PAVILION 3 - Picnic table seating for 75 people. (12 Picnic Tables)
Located close to playground area and splash pad. Accessible bathrooms are attached and also includes electrical outlets and water.

$175.00 per day - Dutchess County Resident Rate - *Proof of Residency Required
$250.00 per day - Non-Resident Rate.

PAVILION 4- Picnic table seating for 75 people. (15 Picnic Tables) - This pavilion is most secluded and is located at north section of the park beyond Ellessdie Chapel. Accessible bathrooms are attached and includes electrical outlets and water.

$195.00 per day - Dutchess County Resident Rate - *Proof of Residency Required
$275.00 per day - Non-Resident Rate.

PAVILION 5 - Picnic table seating for up to 85 outside / 64 inside. Indoor room has AC, heat, electric, and water. Includes 10 rectangular tables, kitchen facility, and accessible bathrooms. 

$375.00 per day - Dutchess County Resident Rate - *Proof of Residency Required
$545.00 per day - Non-Resident Rate.

Pavilion rental 9:00am to 1/2 hour before the park closes. Park closing time changes seasonally. 

Proof of residency cannot be a PO Box. Valid Dutchess County address is required.

The Bowdoin Auditorium Community Room rentals will be from Saturday, June 5 through Sunday, October 10.

All rental inquiries should call the main office number at 845-298-4600 for availability and rental information.  

Dates are limited due to park education programs using the space.

Auditorium rental begins at 9:00am and ends 1/2 hour before the park closes. Park closing time changes seasonally. We cannot allow extra hours past check-out time.

Rental includes:

  • 20 round tables- 5 feet (60 inches) in diameter
  • 4 Rectangular 6-foot tables (72 inches by 30 inches)
  • 2 Rectangular 5-foot tables (60 inches by 30 inches)
  • 125 folding chairs
  • Kitchen facility with 4 burner electric stove with double oven, microwave, refrigerator, and sink.

Maximum capacity is 125 people. No extra seating or tables are allowed in the space.

Dutchess County Residents - proof of Dutchess County Residence required - A  PO BOX is not considered proof of residency, street address and township is. Phone reservations with credit card only. Billing address must match to qualify for resident fee.

Athletic field reservation requests can be made by calling the park office at 845-298-4600.  Rental dates are subject to availability; athletic league & events scheduling.  Payment can be made over the phone by credit card only.

2021 Maple Knoll Lodge Reservations:  

Day Use: 9:00 am - 5:00pm (4pm November - Early February)

Cabins can only be reserved if you are also renting the Maple Knoll Lodge. Seasonal restrictions (Memorial Day Weekend to the end of September*) CONTACT PARK OFFICE TO RESERVE CABINS SEPARATELY within 10 days of your Maple Knoll Reservation Date. Payment only by credit card, name on reservation must be the same on cabin reservation. Confirm end of season availability*

       $90.00 additional per day, per cabin - Non-Resident

All reservation request / applications are subject to review and approval by the Park Director, minimum age requirement is 25 years of age. Proof of age required. ID and permit will be required at check-in for the Maple Knoll Lodge.

MAXIMUM number of people allowed inside the Maple Knoll Lodge is to be determined based on safe occupancy restrictions.

Amenities at Maple Knoll Lodge:

  • 6 wooden tables 36x60, 3 Formica top tables 36x84

  • Chairs for table seating: 20 padded chairs & 10 dining room chairs
  • 3 couches on main level
  • Sleeps 24 (4 bedrooms with Bunks located on upper level).   

Insurance required for all alcohol permits. Parks must receive permit at least 4 weeks prior to reservation date. The sale of any alcoholic beverage is strictly forbidden.

If any alcohol is found at the facility without an approved permit rentors will be asked to leave the park and security fees will not be returned.  No exceptions.

Weekends: Friday-Sunday. Must reserve entire weekend Friday-Sunday. Single overnight reservations allowed during the week only.

*Security Fee refunds can take up to 8 weeks during the busy summer season, refundable only after park staff inspects facility after departure.  Security is returned to cardholder of record or check-holder of record.

We kindly ask that you inspect the facility upon arrival and report any damage or issues prior to taking occupancy. Call park office or staff. Failure to do so could result in forfeiture of security.

Beer & Wine Permits

$100 - Permit fee, plus insurance

Please Note

Absolutely no alcohol is allowed on or around the beach or waterfront areas at Wilcox Memorial Park or in the Chapel at Bowdoin Park. Beer and wine are permitted at pavilions only at Wilcox Park.

The sale of alcohol is strictly prohibited on Park property.

Insurance Requirements

Before a permit will be considered or issued, you MUST provide proof of age and insurance at least four weeks before your reservation date. Permit requests will ONLY be considered if insurance is provided 4-6 weeks prior to reservation date. Insurance is an additional expense incurred by customer. Insurance, ID and reservation information must match.

Upon request, park office will send all insurance requests.

ALL facility use must have a $1 million liability insurance certificate and must include Host Liquor Liability. For individuals, businesses and organizations, the insurance should be from an insurer that has an A.M. Best Rating of “A” or better. Online special event insurance is also an option.

Incorrect insurance will be returned.

Individuals and Groups

Those with a Homeowners Insurance Policy must send in a copy of the Declaration Page of the policy with an Umbrella/Excess Liability not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 in the aggregate. The policy must name Dutchess County, 22 Market Street, Poughkeepsie NY as the Certificate Holder and the event date must be named. Must also include a Host Liquor Liability.

Businesses and Organizations

Businesses and organizations are required to provide proof of the following:

  1. A Commercial General Liability Policy that includes limits not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence.  Such insurance shall cover liability arising from premises, operations, independent contractors, product-completed operations, personal and advertising injury and liability assumed under an insured contract.  There shall be no endorsement or modification of the policy form arising from work performed by subcontractors. The County of Dutchess, 22 Market Street, Poughkeepsie, NY, 12601 must be listed as additional insured and certificate holder.
     
  2. If applicable, Statutory Workers Compensation and Employers Liability coverage for all employees, including corporate officers and sole proprietors.
     
  3. If required by the County, Umbrella/Excess Liability with a limit of not less than $2,000,000 per occurrence/aggregate.

Indemnification

Permittee agrees to defend, indemnify and hold the County of Dutchess harmless from any and all claims, lawsuits, liens, demands and causes of action arising out of the activity (ies) that is the subject of this Application. The person signing this Application has the express authority from the business or organization to agree to this indemnification provision.

Wilcox Park Fee Schedule

2021 Wilcox Memorial Park camping reservations and pavilion rentals are now open for the season.  

The season runs from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend.

TENT SITES 11-27: No water - no electric. Tent sites can accommodate 2 small tents or one larger. Only 6 people to a site, please rent additional sites if necessary. Parking is limited to one car per site.

Scout Camping- Our group camping area is a rustic site reserved for only organized Scout groups. Please call the park office at 845-298-4600 for more information.

Pavilions- The park has three covered pavilions for rent and come with picnic table seating. Wilcox Park is a popular place for company picnics, family reunions, birthday parties and other events. Pavilion B has convenient access to the playground and ballfield, Pavilion C overlooks the park and beach, has kitchen facilities and attached bathrooms as well as designated parking, Pavilion D is closest to the main parking lot and boating lakes. Groups of 10 or more arriving by a bus or van are asked to contact the park office at 845-298-4600 two weeks prior to their visit for approval by park director. If approved to visit, insurance must be submitted, and applicable fee paid in advance. Please do not arrive without receiving prior approval by Park Director. 

Boat Rentals- Paddle and row boats are available for rent on weekends June-August. No outside boats, kayaks, or SUP boards.

Paddle Boats are $5.00 per 1/2 hour.

Row Boats are $5.00 per hour.

Age restrictions and life jackets are strictly enforced and are provided with each rental.

Swimming- The Swimming lake is closed for the season.  Swimming is strictly prohibited, and dogs are not allowed in any of the water areas.

Restricted for BSA/GSA SCOUT CAMPING ONLY. Insurance is required from BSA/GSA Hudson Valley Council specific to reservation date. $25.00 per night Scout leaders must call Park office for reservations, payment by credit card only. Wilcox office is staffed seasonally (845) 758-6100 or you can call the Bowdoin Park Office January - April (845)-298-4600.   Please call the park office for the Dutchess County Insurance Requirements.
