The Agency Partner Grant (APG) Program is a grant program for Dutchess County non-profit organizations with a 501(c)(3) designation. Funding is awarded to organizations on a competitive basis based on their ability to demonstrate they can fulfill an unmet community need.
Traditional APG Program
Funding is awarded on a biennial basis unless additional funds become available. Therefore, programs funded in even years, will be renewed in odd years if meeting the program objectives.
The next competitive APG Request for Applications (RFA) will begin in late August 2021 with funds awarded effective January 2022.
Dutchess Reads: Bridging the Digital Divide
Libraries offer a wide range of services and resources to community members of all ages. The county recognizes the wide range of services provided by public libraries and the financial constraints associated with maintaining and advancing their offerings, while keeping up with demographic transformations and technological advances. As such, the Dutchess County Legislature has allocated $50,000 to promote Dutchess Reads efforts, with funding specifically aimed at bridging the digital divide and addressing technology barriers to literacy, early reading, literacy for those seeking jobs and English as a second language. The need for technological resources has become increasingly more urgent given the coronavirus pandemic.
