The Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan (or Coordinated Plan) seeks to improve local transportation services for people with disabilities and older adults by:
The recommendations in the Coordinated Plan can be used to support federal funding applications by transit operators and human service agencies, such as the FTA’s Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities (Section 5310) Program.
We develop a new Coordinated Plan about every five years. Its guided by public input and assistance from a technical Advisory Committee with members from key stakeholder agencies and organizations (e.g., Dutchess County Office for the Aging, thinkDIFFERENTLY, Taconic Resources for Independence, North East Community Center, and more).
