This funding can be used by participating municipalities to address infrastructure, housing, and handicapped accessibility improvements throughout Dutchess County. Approximately 15% goes to Human Service program services, and approximately 3% will be used for the Owner-Occupied Property Rehabilitation Program (see Programs for Individuals).
NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND PUBLIC HEARING
Dutchess County invites public comments on the Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2026.
The Plan is available for public review for a 30-day period from Friday, May 1, 2026 to Sunday, May 31, 2026. The Plan can be found on the County’s website here, and may also be viewed during normal business hours at the Dutchess County Department of Planning & Development at 85 Civic Center Plaza, Suite 107, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.

A public hearing on the Plans will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at the above address or virtually at https://bit.ly/4dd7xYH.
All comments will be considered and included in the final Plan, as appropriate, which will be forwarded to HUD on or about June 15, 2026.
