Protection of the community is our most important priority. Through evidence-based interventions, the Office of Probation and Community Corrections promotes positive change in the lives of those under supervision. We contribute to the safety and well-being of the community by improving the operation of the criminal justice system, reducing offender recidivism and serving victims of crime.
We are dedicated to promoting public safety through effective supervision of the approximately 3,000 defendants and probationers placed on community supervision by the courts. We believe mandated intervention is the most effective model to use in a community corrections environment.
