During the COVID-19 state of emergency, the Probation Office located on 50 Market Street, Poughkeepsie, New York remains open Monday Through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, but visitors will NOT be admitted without an appointment.

Through evidence based interventions, the Office of Probation and Community Corrections promotes positive change in the lives of those under supervision. We contribute to the safety and well-being of the community by improving the operation of the criminal justice system, reducing offender recidivism and serving victims of crime.
We are dedicated to promoting public safety through effective supervision of the approximately 3,000 defendants and probationers placed on community supervision by the courts. We believe mandated intervention is the most effective model to use in a community corrections environment.
