The Finance and Real Property Tax offices are open to the public. Tax payments may be made in person at 22 Market Street (Poughkeepsie) on the 4th floor from 9:00am until 4:00pm or placed in the drop box located on the 4th floor, just off the elevators to the left of the lobby doors until 5:00pm when the building closes. Receipts are available upon request.

The Commissioner of Finance is responsible for the collection of hotel occupancy taxes imposed on the occupancy of hotel rooms
The County sales tax is collected by the State of New York. The current sales tax effective June 1, 2005 is 8.125%
