Dutchess County Clerk

For more than 300 years, since 1715, the Office of the Dutchess County Clerk has been the keeper of the land recordings and the legal filings of the county. We administer the Oath of Allegiance to new citizens, process passport applications, serve as the chief notary of the county and provide a number of services to businesses and veterans. Over the years our charge has expanded to providing motor vehicle bureau services for our customers. We are the place where history meets technology everyday.

We invite you to browse through our website where you can search indexes for legal filings or land records, download forms and applications, and find information on a wide variety of topics. This site is your gateway to all that we do in the Dutchess County Clerk’s Office. We look forward to continuing to serve you.
